Responsible for conducting entry level ultrasonic testing, conduct and assist in calibration, and assist in some Final Sonic testing. Close viewing/ monitoring of display terminals or equipment w/readouts. Conduct equipment changeover for size change. Provide and receive information from superiors and peers. Minimum Requirements:
Able to work in an environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise. Level 1 Ultrasonic Certification required or 3 months testing experience to be certified in 30 days. 20/25 Corrected Near Vision in both eyes (tested annually). Successful completion of Color Discrimination Test (tested annually). Flexibility and willingness to learn and accept changes in job duties. Able to work independently or in team environment. Requires close observation and concentration skills during inspection of product and operation of equipment. Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and/or mechanical aptitude. Good planning and organizational skills. Good written and oral communication skills. Advanced reading, writing, and math skills. Successful completion of Life's Work ergonomics evaluation of physical requirements of position (routinely requires sitting for long periods of time, occasional standing, bending, lifting up to 20 lbs., pulling, pushing, reaching/crouching). Preferred Requirements: 6-12 months experience in an industrial environment preferred.
