Our NDT Inspector positions require travel on a global basis.
- You will work out of your home location. No relocation necessary.
- Candidates should have a valid Passport, and be willing and able to travel globally on short notice.
- Candidates support NDT by performing time critical nondestructive field inspections and providing accurate and concise interpretation of results.
- Inspections are conducted at power generation service centers, and fossil and nuclear power plants as required.
- Perform nondestructive inspections as per work scope using both manual and digital data acquisition systems.
- Experience with Eddy Current, Ultrasonic and Radiographic testing.
- Determine test equipment, surface finishes, geometry, material, rotating and positioning equipment, etc. meet procedure requirements. Take appropriate actions to correct all non-compliances.
- Consult with GE NDT Evaluation and Field Test supervision with respect to testing difficulties and schedules.
- Exercise sound technical judgment in performing and interpreting nondestructive tests. Record all pertinent data, in detail, reducing and transcribing such information into a clear, comprehensive, and accurate report.
- Candidates must meet the requirements for unescorted access and fitness for duty for US nuclear facilities.
- Candidates will work up to 60-80 hours per week during peak outage season and up to 2500 hours per year.
- Uncertified candidates that have prior certification, or currently meet all the SNT-TC-1A requirements for certification will be considered.
- Certified Inspectors will be required to complete 2 weeks of training in Schenectady, NY before being assigned in the field.
- Proficient computer skills with MS Office programs, are a minimum requirement.
Skills:
