This manufacturing company is searching for experienced Model Makers for its 2nd Shift. To be considered, you must have 6 - 8 years experience as a machinist or toolmaker. Your experience must include programming with working knowledge of CNC equipment (lathes, mills, wire), M&G Code programming, CAD/CAM experience (MasterCAM preferred), working knowledge of current safety requirements, and proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc). Previous experience in a medical device manufacturing facility is desirable. An Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields is a plus, and an Apprenticeship is also highly desirable. Position duties will include light fabrication of prototype and non-standard semi-finished medical devices, set up and operation of various pieces of shop equipment as required, working closely with engineers and designers to ensure accuracy and timely completion of job requests, following all safety requirements, effectively communicating ideas/concepts verbally or in sketch form, miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Prototype Shop Manager and Supervisors, and being an extremely flexible team player, adaptable to change.
