Tier one supplier of precision machine components and precision gears for power train is looking for a Director of Sales.

This position will focus on strategic planning, marketing development, researching new markets, support of key accounts, manage and motivate the sales force. Currently the client sells using their own direct sales engineers and manufacturer’s rep firms. The organization wants to convert their sales force from partially using manufacturers reps to 100% direct sales force. We are searching for candidates who have a past history of managing sales for an automotive machine components supplier. Candidates will experience developing or expanding the sales department are preferred. Interested candidates should have a 4 year degree, 5 plus years of direct automotive sales and sales management experience. Knowledge of program management and APQP requirements is a must. The ideal candidate will have basic process knowledge of high volume machining processes. Experience with pricing, contract negotiation and relationship building is also required. We will consider candidates with either OEM or contract shop experience.
