Seeking Quality Assurance Inspector for machined parts, sheet metal, and composites commodities. Inspector will assure compliance and accuracy to variety of dimensional, engineering drawings, and customer specification requirements. This includes conducting First Article, In-process, and Final Inspections. Inspector will validate physical characteristics, processing requirements, documentation, and data package imposed by the customer.
Skills:
5 years experience as an inspector of machining processes, with fluency in reading and interpreting applicable drawings including the use of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5). The ability to use most inspection equipment: calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages, air gages, thread gages, etc. At least a basic knowledge of metals and their machining and processing (e.g., heat treating) characteristics, such as aluminum, carbon and alloy steels, stainless steels, titanium. Experience in aircraft parts strongly desirable.
