Job Description: Certified structural steel welder wanted for full-time position with small, family owned welding and metal fabrication company, located in Manassas Park, VA. We specialize in minor steel beam fabrication/erection/installation. We do everything from small repairs to gates, railings, stairs, to welding repair of industrial trucks and equipment. Must be Certified. Preferably in structural steel. Must have good mig and tig skills, as well. Certification in mig and tig would also have preference.
He/She must be able to read plans and drawings and fabricate correctly from them, without major supervision. Must be able to work alone and with others. Must be able to read, write and communicate well in English, but we would be doubly pleased with multilingual skills. Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 50 lbs and more, often. Must have reliable transportation, good driving record, no felony convictions, and be willing to be drug-tested. Prior experience in supervising other welders would be a plus. Must be able to deal with the public in a pleasant and professional manner.
