A stable full-service, multi-site company who's primary business is aluminum extrusion is seeking a Finishing Manager for their Indiana operations. Markets served include automotive, building and construction, electrical, consumer durable, and sporting goods.

COMPANY INFORMATION:
** company produces high-quality aluminum - known for its superior quality and customer service
** extruded shapes are used in architectural curtain walls, storefronts, shower enclosures, windows and doors, hurricane protection products, ladders, electrical conductor bars, truck trailers, automotive, and snowmobiles
** company sells its products unfinished, coated, or painted to distributors and fabricators, mainly in the eastern US and eastern Canada

RESPONSIBILITIES:
** lead and manage the plant's anodizing & painting operations including supervision of 5 supervisors and 50+ union employees

** lead ISO and lean manufacturing efforts
** coordination of safety pertaining to the process & operations in anodizing, paint & wastewater treatment processes
** establish & maintain work standards and performance
** work on quality problems and implement corrective actions
** insure environmental and governmental regulation compliance pertaining to the process & operations in the paint, anodizing & wastewater treatment areas
** report directly to the Plant Manager
Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
** BS degree required, preferably in Engineering or Chemical/Chemical Engineering
** minimum 5 years of aluminum extrusion paint and anodizing experience
** chemical experience including acids, bases, solvents, resins & polymers as applied to aluminum anodizing & painting processes
** working knowledge of OSHA, IOSHA, EPA & IDEM regulations
** good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
** highly desirable: knowledge of and a background in ISO, lean manufacturing tools such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, root cause analysis, Kanban, etc.
