Well-established company is seeking a Chemical Engineer or Senior Chemist for their finishing plant in New England.
RESPONSIBILITIES
** will define materials for new process opportunities
** schedule work projects of other engineers, technicians and inspectors
** manage key projects for the group and present reports to upper management
** will lead lean events, mentor junior engineers, coach staff members, develop teams
** will partner with planning, operations and/or business development to create solutions
** will troubleshoot difficult chemistries, figure out why there are defects in the metal, and know how to change the chemistry in the tanks
** will work with customers on quality concerns and product requirements
LOCATION:
** close to a large lake that offers all water activities ie boating, swimming, skiing, etc.
** excellent colleges and universities within easy driving distance
** reasonable cost of living
SALARY:
** $65K to $75K with some flexibility

Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS:
** BS in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering and at least 8 years of experience in plating, especially JOB SHOP PLATING
** ability to troubleshoot and serve as a real problem solver
** background in aerospace plating, finishing, anodizing would be helpful
