We have an immediate need to fill the position of Quality Assurance / Radiation Safety Officer for our North Slope Operation in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. The position reports to both the North Slope Project Manager and the Corporate Radiation and Compliance Manager located in Anchorage. This position is responsible for the day to day management of our quality system and radiation compliance.

Skills/Qualifications:

The candidate will have exceptional communication skills, both written and oral. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Will work daily with Client, Acuren Management and field crews.


Possess good computer skills and be productive using Microsoft word, excel PowerPoint Access and QCC/NDT office.

Must be proactive and motivated to implement prevention procedures and maintain continuous improvement programs. Will be responsible for extensive documentation to comply with Client, ACUREN USA, NRC, DOT, DEC and other code/regulatory requirements.

Must have 10 years experience working in quality systems such as ISO quality standards. Will be responsible for the generation, tracking and closure of Corrective Actions (CAR’s) Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) and many other quality records.

Must have extensive knowledge of NDT methods and procedures with 10 years experience. Will be responsible for review, administration and document retention of NDT technicians.

Must have 3 years of auditing experience and documentation of at least 36 hours of formal auditor training. Will conduct annual internal audits, external vendor audits and be audited by external groups such as client, ACUREN corporate and regulatory bodies.

Must have 2 years experience as an assistant RSO or RSO in accordance with the USNRC and have completed 40 hours of RSO training/source retrieval.

Should have 2 years experience working in petrochemical environment and 2 years working in corrosion inspection capacity.

Required Certifications

1. ASNT IRRSP-Gamma or Both

2. API 570 rating

3. ASNT Level III in RT, UT, MT, PT & VT

Desired Certifications:

ASQ certified quality Manager and/or Auditor
AWS CWI or SCWI
AWS RTFI
API 653 and/or 510
NACE Coating Inspector

NACE Certified rating such as; Corrosion Technologist, Senior Corrosion Technologist.
