Define and execute generic NDE technology development programs relevant to gas turbine structures using ultrasonic, eddy current and other methods. Develop model based NDE inspection methodology and associated protocol for application to complex gas turbine structures. Define and own the technology acquisition strategy for the RRC site. Be a subject matter expert capable of working with global Rolls-Royce NDE community, external customers, suppliers, government agencies, and academia.

Skills:
BASIC: A MS in Materials Science/Metallurgy, Engineering Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, with an emphasis on nondestructive evaluation/testing (NDE/NDT) is required. Ten years experience in developing and applying advanced NDE techniques for flaw detection and materials characterization using ultrasound, eddy current and other methods.

PREFERRED: Ph.D in requisite discipline as described above. Experience in defining, marketing and managing NDE technology programs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
