Located in central New York, our client is one of the largest, growing OEM’s of highly engineered industrial components serving the motion controls industry is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer / Tooling Engineer. This international company has 80% of the world market.

We are searching for candidates with direct experience designing and procuring cutting tools, as well as, processing high speed production machining equipment. Knowledge of CAD design and past experience designing special form, shave, drill ream, tap, cut off, boring bar and other special cutting tools is a must. The ideal candidate will have experience tooling and processing a few of the following machine tools: automatic screw machines, multi spindle screw machines, multi-spindle cnc lathes, swiss type cnc lathes, cnc lathes, rotary transfer, inline transfer and/or dial machines or Index machines. Knowledge of GT&D, cutting tool geometry, drops, clearances, cutting tool material and coatings is a huge plus. The ability to develop processes and calculate cycletimes is also preferred.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience designing cutting tools for high speed turning processes, CAD skills and ability to calculate cycletimes. EDM experience is a plus. Past experience tooling and processing multiple spindle screw machines is preferred.
