INSPECTOR MAGNETIC PENETRANT II(SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA)
Summary: Performs the operation of magnetic and dye penetrant testing and the subsequent inspection for defects in ferrous and non-ferrous forged, raw formed and machined parts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Operates and maintains fluorescent penetrant and magnetic particle inspection equipment. Sets up and calibrates equipment when necessary.
Performs non-destructive test (N.D.T.) inspection on all parts and ensure conformance with all applicable specifications.
Stamps and otherwise approves applicable parts and prepares paper work as required. Rejects parts that are non-conforming to specifications and shop standards of workmanship.
Maintains all paperwork and documentation.
Assists with quality audits and surveys.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum 4 years Inspection experience. Must have level II Certification in Mag. Particle and Liquid Penetrant. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools.
Must pass level Mag. Particle and Liquid Penetrant test once every three years to maintain job.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentages, area, and volume.
