Major plant expansion due to increased sales. Large corporation was just awarded $400MM in new business over the next five years. They are in process of installing one of four new product lines.

We are searching for a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to play a major role in the plant expansion. This position requires a four year technical degree and 8 plus years in a high volume assembly environment. We are looking for experience designing and/or developing equipment through vendors. Experience designing fixtures, holding devices, loading devices testing equipment and assembly equipment is a must. Past experience developing automation, integrating robotics, vision systems and other material handling devices is also required. Controls experience, PLC and a basic understanding of machine controls is a big plus. Interested candidates should have solid project management skills and the ability to work with designers, vendors, maintenance, engineering and shop floor personnel. Experience justifying, purchasing, developing and installing capital equipment is key for this position. Knowledge of lean techniques and continuous improvement project experience is a big plus.
