Expanding division of a large manufacturing company has an opening for a solid supervisor with management skills and knowledge of production machining operations. Interested candidates will need solid planning, scheduling, organization and communication skills. This position will manage around 25 skilled machinists. The ability to manage and motivate employees is a must. We are looking for a high energy candidate to work on projects using Lean and continuous improvement techniques, focuse on cost savings, material flow and process improvements. Past experience managing machine efficiencies, up time, quality and delivery is required. Candidates with solid machining skills are strongly preferred. Knowledge of cutting tools, cycletimes and machine set up skills are also a huge plus. Past experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, swiss type CNC lathes, machining centers, screw machines, dial / rotary transfer machines or product machining equipment will give a candidate a big advantage.
