A global leader in the manufacturing of precision machined and assembled components serving the automotive and industrial OEM’s is searching for a Division Quality Manager. This division is part of a multi-plant mid-sized corporation which is financially very stable and growing. Our client offers an environment dedicated to quality, continuous improvement and cutting edge technology.

We are searching for candidates with direct automotive supplier experience and solid leadership skills. Technical experience in machining or gear cutting and/or seating rack mechanism is preferred. Interested candidates will need experience in APQP requirements and the ability to coordinate TS-16949 activities. Knowledge of FMEA, DOE, DFM, DFA, SPC and Gd&T is required. Solid problem solving skills and demonstrated experience using problem solving techniques such as process flow charts, pareto diagrams, cause and effect diagrams and control charts is also a must. The Quality Manager will develop and implement policies for measuring and improving customer satisfaction and quality, manage and lead several direct reports in the quality department. This position will ensure customer, vendor and supplier related corrective actions and carried out in a timely proper and effective manner. This manager will oversee and direct the full inspection process, ensuring all requirements, critical feature and customer standards are met.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience managing quality in a machining environment. Past experience preparing FMEA, PPAP, control plans, work instructions, and corrective actions. Interested candidates will need a Bachelor Degree or equivalent and 7 years of automotive systems experience.
