KEMA Services, Inc. is a North American-based business operation of KEMA, an independent international energy consulting, testing and certification firm that employs more than 1,500 full-time professionals and leading experts in many facets of the energy utility industry. One of the focus areas of KEMA is to support clients in the operation and maintenance practice of their power generation facilities with testing, measurement and inspection services.

Location and team
KEMA Inc.’s non destructive testing services unit is looking for an Operations Manager to further support KEMA’s growth in this industry. This position will be based at our office in Schenectady, New York.

Tasks will include
• Supervision of technical staff and consultation with clients on project scope and planning
• Supervision of work planning for in-house and field operations
• Developing and/or reviewing proposals, requests for quotations and technical leads from clients
• Supporting field project managers and staff
• Providing input for work procedures and certification of NDT personnel
• Maintenance of the facility
• Management of service and calibration of NDT equipment

Skills:
What we're asking
• Level II certification in Liquid Penetrant, Magnetic Particles, Eddy Current, Ultrasonic, and Radiographic inspections is desirable
• At least 5 years experience in the non destructive testing industry
• A dynamic professional who is highly committed to work in technical services operations
• Familiarity with power generation and components such as generators, steam turbines, etc.
• Familiarity with automated scanning systems
• Strong supervising and organizational skills
• Confidence in working independently and making decisions
• Self motivated, well-organized and able to meet deadlines
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
