Responsibilities
Provide supervision of on site repair contractor on major jobs
Provides worksite safety management and supervision on fieldwork
Responsible for all aspects of HSE on the job
Writes and/or approves Safe Work Plan (if one is necessary SWP is mostly needed for complex jobs)
Leads the preparation of the JSA with assistance of job sponsor and work crew
Assures that all LO/TO is done along with job sponsor and contract leadsman
Decides crew work hours, break times, etc.
Attends daily permit meeting
Obtains all work permits with help from platform job sponsor
Does no (or very little) physical work
Plans the execution of the job (when what work gets done, etc.)
Key Accountabilities
Provides technical assurance in respect to the tasks performed during the maintenance activity on heavy rotating equipment
Validates and/or develops the technical scope of work
Captures data from all inspection activities
Assists or leads the pre-planning efforts on planned jobs
Makes technical decisions during the work
Prepares inspection reports
Interfaces with the Rotating Equipment Supervisor and Machinery Engineers on major decisionsPerforms the critical inspections such as: Bore Scope; alignment checks; etc.
Maintain proficiency in the Mechanic discipline
Participates on minimal basis in the actual tasks to maintain a base level of competency to ensure competency in ability to perform other duties
Complete and maintain IDP with established Mechanical Inspector Competency framework.
Participate in the review/recommendation of spare parts and equipment stocking.
Participate in the PWR/Best Practices process for machinery related items.
Suggest improvements, based on field experience, to the Annual PM work scopes for rotating machinery.
Participate in rotating machinery related RCAs.
Provide input to the development and evergreening of SAP Master Task Lists
Additional Requirements
Participate in the review/recommendation of spare parts and equipment stocking
Participate in the PWR/Best Practices process for machinery related items
Suggest improvements, based on field experience, to the Annual PM work scopes for rotating machinery
Participate in rotating machinery related RCAs
Provide input to the development and evergreening of SAP Master Task Lists
Prepare reports on all jobs done in the field to document work that was done. (Document reports to local drive is mandatory)
Quality assurance for field run testing and commissioning activities
Create and maintain an environment of inclusion that respects and values individual differences and is aligned with Shells core values

Supports RPDs commitment to safety by complying with programs regarding health, safety and protection of the environment
Demonstrates safe work practices, takes part in safety meetings as required, and advises relevant personnel of any non-conforming conditions

Skills:
Requirements
Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Demonstrated knowledge and skills in machinery operations, maintenance, inspection and quality assurance
Experience working directly rotating machinery
Experience working in a maintenance environment
5 or more years in rotating equipment
Offshore experience a plus but not mandatory
Must be willing to work a 14/14 schedule. (14 days on and 14 days off)
