We are recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated experienced Non Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician who will ensure that all NDT inspections performed are in compliance with Cascade Aerospace’s, the customer’s, and the manufacturer’s maintenance procedures, and completes paperwork as required.

As an NDT Technician Level 2 you will ensure that all NDT inspections performed are in compliance with Cascade Aerospace’s, the customer’s, and the manufacturer’s maintenance procedures. This includes reading work orders and conducting complete and accurate inspections on the aircraft using eddy current, liquid penetrant or ultrasonic. You will also research information in NDT manuals as required in order to conduct inspection. Use an existing inspection procedure from the SOPs, NDT manuals, SRM or other document containing approved data and provide inspection results. As well you will ensure that the equipment used is within calibration dates and conduct self-calibration reference tests

The NDT Technician Level 2 is expected to liaise with Maintenance Crew Leaders, Supervisors and Engineering regarding NDT issues. Provide advice on the type of NDT Inspection needed on the aircraft and give detailed verbal reports as to the inspection findings. You will also provide written reports for pass over to the next shift and to Engineering with regards to the results of an inspection.

It is important to ensure all paperwork, documentation and reporting associated with an inspection is completed accurately, and in accordance with manufacturers’ manuals, FAA Regulations, Technical Airworthiness Manual (TAM), Quality Control Procedures (QCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Process Standards (CPS), all maintenance, manufacturing and policy manuals. Also to ensure proper safety equipment, such as proper gloves, respirators, and eye and ear protection, is worn when handling hazardous materials and follow all safety policies and procedures when operating equipment and machinery. Demonstrate, by example, safety conscious conduct at work.
Skills:
Core Skills

Good communication skills: fluent written and verbal English
Basic Computer Skills: word processing, spreadsheet and database programs
Specific knowledge of eddy current, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic & radiography
Ability to ensure that approved standards of Quality Control are maintained
Safe work practices and techniques
Basic coaching and leadership skills


Training and Experience

Education:
Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent
Certificate in Level 2 LPI
Certification in Level ET or UT and Level 1 in other

Experience:
Minimum 2 - 5 years experience previously in Level 2


Industry Experience
Aircraft Maintenance / Aerospace / CC130 DND/Military
Evident Ultrasonic Inspection Equipment
