Product Design Engineer – Solidworks, OEM, small machined components
OEM manufacturer of HVAC and LP gas controls is searching for a Design Engineer. Interested candidates will need 4 plus years of mechanical design and experience using Solidworks 3-D software. Candidates with a BSME are strongly preferred. Knowledge of UL, NSF and CSA regulations is also preferred. The ideal candidate will have some experience designing CNC lathes, screw machine and/or smaller machined components. The Product Design Engineer will work closely with sales and customers to develop new products and design custom application components. We are searching for candidates who have project management experience and can work with very little direction. Past experience reviewing blueprints to ascertain specifications, develop product testing, risk analysis and resolve technical problems is a must.
Our client offers a great opportunity in a growing non automotive OEM. Strong possibilities for advancement are strong for the right candidate.
MUST HAVE: 4 plus years of mechanical design experience of small machined components. Knowledge of Solidworks, project management and a BSME or direct product design experience and continuing education in mechanical design. Knowledge of fittings, adapters, valves, gas controls, fluid controls in LP gas, oil, hydraulic, pneumatic or plumbing industries is preferred.
