Production Manager – leadership, emp development, planning, problem solving, Lean
A well-known division of a large corporation is searching for a degreed Production Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for a 3 shift operation in their machining, injection molding and assembly areas. Experience planning high volume production, scheduling, establish production priorities and solve problems relating to work flow, associate utilization and equipment utilization to ensure a efficient and expedient manufacturing process. This position will act as the liaison between technical resources, quality and materials to achieve manufacturing goals. Candidates will need solid communication skills to effectively set and clarify expectations of manufacturing requirements. The key to this position is having above average leadership skills and proven experience development associated under their direction. Someone who can drive the success of others. The Production Manager will lead, guide and direct the activities of 125 associates. Interested candidates will need a solid technical manufacturing background with a focus on improvements and problem solving. Past experience leading cross functional teams in continuous improvement, Lean and 5-S activities is a must. The ideal candidate will have advanced problem solving skills using data driven techniques to resolve manufacturing and production issues. Experience reviewing production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities and specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates are in order to plan the departments operations.
