Quality Manager – ISO-9000, machining, medical, leadership

A well established division of a medium sized corporation is seeking a Quality Manager for their contract medical device manufacturing facility in Florida. This facility produces orthopedic implants, bone screws, surgical instruments and a variety of non standard medical devices. We are looking for a Quality Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience managing quality within a contract machining environment preferably in the medical industry. The Quality Manager is responsible for contract review, customer contact, managing the quality management system, system improvements, streamlining the quality inspection process, auditing, procedures, first articles, corrective actions, associate training and validations. Knowledge of ISO-9002, ISO-13485, GMP and advanced quality planning is a must. This position will interact closely with the shop floor, document procedures, protocols, standard work instructions, process validations and initiates methods of inspection, strong leadership skills, communicating customer requirements based on quality, cost and delivery is key. The Quality Manager will establish or improve programs to evaluate the accuracy of production, testing and measuring equipment as well as development of methods / procedures for disposition of discrepant materials and components. Candidates with a technical degree and experience with ISO-13485 and IQ, OQ, PQ protocols are preferred.
