NDE Technician / Quality Engineer I

This division of Ceradyne, Inc. seeks an enthusiastic, organized, self-starter that works well in a fast paced environment as an NDE Technician-Quality Engineer I.

„« MUST BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A CONFIDENTIAL CLEARANCE

NDT Testing (Required Skills)
„« Able to be qualified, to NAS-410 Level II
„« UT
o A-scan with manual equipment
o C-scan ¡V Physical Acoustics
„« PT
o Fluorescent penetrant testing per ASTM E1417
„« NDE
o Dimensional/Mechanical/Physical
o Visual
o Other mechanical testing as needed
Quality Engineering (a plus to have)
„« 5 years in a QA/QC titled function within the manufacturing industry, preferably some background in ceramics ¡V not automotive related;
„« Experience within high visibility Quality Assurance Programs, i.e. ISO 9000 or AS 9100 systems (based on the more stringent requirements of NQA-1 and 10 CFR Parts 50, 71, and/or 72);
„« Able to clearly communicate customer requirements in procedural documents for floor personnel;
„« Perform in-depth inspections using hand tools and electronic equipment;
„« Able to write and communicate clearly;
„« Experience in performing process/engineering audits;
„« Knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical physics;
„« Knowledge of tensile and compression testing;
