Detailed Position Description and Requirements:

The Basic Radiography Technical position will require all the skills and task performance capabilities found in a radiography trainee itemized below in sections 1 thru 3 and certification in the GEH NDT Neutron Radiography discipline. There are two general levels of certification, basic and supervisory. The basic radiography certification is the Level I certification. A level I certified radiographer will have mastered the additional skills to perform the tasks found in item 4 below.

1. Provide process production labor to perform parts setup and other non-certified production and maintenance tasks under direct supervision for the neutron radiography process. 2. Common production task will include:

Unload/load containers from customer delivery vehicles
Follow procedures and take direction to perform radiography setups involving:
Removal of the test parts from their shipping containers
Sorting of the parts by serial number
Preparation of the parts for the setups
Securing the parts on setups
Typing and properly applying serial number labels to the setups
Typing and properly applying main labels to the setups
Removal of the parts from the setups, post radiography
Repackaging the parts identical to the way they were received
Production of duplicate radiographs

3. Common maintenance tasks will include:

Maintenance and cleaning of the setup fixtures
Maintenance and cleaning of the photo processors
Maintenance and cleaning of the production support facility

The job will require the candidate to qualify as a Neutron Radiography process worker. This will include:

Qualification as a VNC radiation area worker
Qualification as hazardous materials handler for DOT compliance
Qualification as an NTR explosives material handler
Submitting to a fingerprint background check and be accepted by the BATF as a employee possessor of explosives
Submitting to an FBI fingerprint background check and be cleared by the VNC Security Reviewing Official for unescorted access to the NTR nuclear facility per VNC SOP 3D

Physical Requirements: Lift 50 lbs occasionally, Average hand eye coordination and Ability to perform repetitive tasks
