This position is to be located at an Ohio NGT&S office location. The opening is posted at the senior level, however, the position may be filled at a lower level in the engineering job family.

Responsibilities:
As part of the Measurement & Regulation (M&R) technical support team, you will investigate and analyze operational issues with electronic measurement devices, meters, regulation, odorization and gas quality monitoring equipment. Provides technical direction to field personnel, participates in development of capital investment plans and strategies, and develops/monitors operational maintenance plans. Performs equipment and facility Reliability Assessments, recommend corrective actions and develops capital budget estimates. Performs Root Cause Analysis investigations and utilizes industry standard methods of determining failures, submits reports with recommendations in order to eliminate future failures.

Principal Objective: Serves as a senior member of an engineering technical support team and leads, oversees and provides direction to technical employees and teams in investigating and analyzing complex technical issues and in completing multiple projects concurrently.

Essential Functions: Provides engineering expertise, oversight, and leadership in assigned functional activities such as:

-- Leads in developing, implementing and monitoring of measurement, regulation, and odorization, equipment maintenance plans utilizing maintenance management systems (Maximo) by adhering to the Reliability Centered Maintenance philosophy.
-- Investigates/analyzes complex operational issues and recommends solutions.
-- Participates in planning and prioritizing Capital and operations/maintenance projects.
-- Develops long-term capital investment plans and strategies for measurement and regulating facilities.
-- Leads in providing technical advice to field personnel in operation and maintenance of measurement and regulation facilities. Assists training team in developing training requirements.
-- Oversees development of designs and procedures to install, commission, operate, and maintain measurement and regulating facilities.
-- Collaborates with the engineering staff and works Alliance Partner Engineering firms.
-- Assure compliance with Federal regulations, company policy and gas industry standards.
-- Develop and maintain design standards, regulatory inspection job plans, policy letters and field technical documentation used by field technicians.
-- Attends and participates in industry related activities; visits manufacturers, fabrication shops, equipment suppliers and other gas companies.
-- Effectively manages and completes multiple projects concurrently and timely.

MEASUREMENT & REGULATION ENGINEER

-- College graduate with a four-year BS Degree in Engineering is required / four-year BS in Engineering Technology will be considered.
-- Investigates/Analyzes assigned technical issues, with close supervision of method, progress, and resources.
-- Applies basic engineering principles and scientific theory to recommend solutions.
-- Assists other engineers, project teams and management by developing, compiling, and providing technical data.
-- Process control engineering competency.

-- Has knowledge of applicable engineering principles, codes, regulations, policies and procedures related to a specialized area within the industry.

-- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans and specifications.

SENIOR ENGINEER :
-- 10 years of experience; less will be considered if distinguished performance has been demonstrated.
-- BS in Engineering; or BS in Engineering Technology, holds a State P.E. certification, or is actively being pursued.
-- Registered Professional Engineer (or demonstrated work towards certification) is expected for those with a BS in Engineering, unless commensurate professional recognition can be demonstrated.
-- Effectively works independently as a member of a team and leader of a team.
-- Demonstrates ability to effectively implement investigative and problem solving techniques such as: Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Centered Maintenance, etc.
-- Investigates/analyzes complex technical issues and drives to resolution.
-- Interprets applicable codes and regulations and instructs Company and/or Industry personnel.
-- Provides leadership, direction and assistance to technical employees and teams.
-- Effectively manages and completes large scale projects.
-- Develops technical procedural policies/procedures.
-- Recognized as a Company expert.
-- Communicates with customers, peers, and management to explain technical vision, understanding customer perception of the problem and the proper solutions.
-- Chief negotiator of cost effective engineering solutions.
-- Must be able to effectively negotiate and resolve disputes with a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
-- Controls assigned budgets.
-- Effectively manages and directs outside resources and alliance partners.
-- Contributes significantly to corporate and process goals.

Other Information:

Position is a safety sensitive position. Indoors 80%, outdoors 20%. Sitting 80%,standing/walking/bending/lifting. Overtime and travel required. Motor vehicle record check required.
