In your role:
-You will be responsible to provide Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Support for all BA Montreal in-service aircraft products to its Operators and Suppliers including but not limited to monitoring the fleet(s) for issues and identifying corrective actions, inspection procedure development, similarly for internal BA Customers such as Experimental Fatigue Rig Testing, R&D and liaison between Engineering departments.
-You will also be required to cooperate with regulatory authorities as well as preparing presentations.
-You must be computer literate, familiar with Lotus Notes, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, AutoCAD or CATIA and be willing to travel occasionally on short notice.
Skills:
The ideal candidate meets these requirements:
-DEC in Engineering Technology (Materials, Metallurgical, Mechanical) or Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Educational equivalencies will also be considered on a case by case basis).
-ET, UT, Level 3 CGSB Certification preferred or ASNT willing to upgrade to Level 3 in other NDT methods
Minimum five (5) years relevant experience in the aerospace NDT environment.
-Familiar with aerospace codes and standards, NADCAP, procedure development
-Familiar with inspection of composite material and assemblies would be a definite asset
-Familiar with aircraft structures, terminology, blueprint reading skills
-Good trouble shooting/problem solving skills, able to work well with Customers and Colleagues with a minimum supervision.
-Willing to occasionally travel on a short notice.
-Good computer skills in Word, Powerpoint, Excel, AutoCAD or CATIA.
-Good oral and written communication skills (English and French).
