AMES is seeking a Quality AssuranceTechnical Specialist!

Base Pay: $ 53,973 - $ 92,055

What you will do:

Develop, review and manage the aircraft tooling calibration program and NDT/Borescope training program for AMES. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing and monitoring aircraft tooling inventory, assessment of calibration intervals and tooling interchangeability, and maintaining the aircraft tooling calibration budget. This position will also develop training materials and instruct classes in Level I and II NDT (eddy current, radiographic, magnetic particle, ultrasonic, liquid penetrant) and aircraft engine borescope procedures. In addition, it is expected this position will develop and deploy strategies to position AMES to be able to grow these specialties to generate additional revenue sources.
Skills:
What you need:

• High School Diploma or GED
• B.S. in technical field plus 5 years in an aviation field OR 10 years experience working in an MRO or airline maintenance environment as an inspector or technical support role
• Airframe and Powerplant License
• 5 years aircraft inspection experience working an a 145 repair station or 121 airline operation
• Strong technical knowledge of aircraft inspection techniques and tool requirements.
• Engine borescope qualification in at least two (2) engine types
• Working knowledge of the latest NDT standards (ANST), methods and equipment
• Must be familiar with tooling measurement systems and applications
• Ability to gain level III NDT certification within 1 year of hire
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to effectively manage multiple projects in different areas


Preferred skills:

• Bachelor Degree preferred
• AutoCAD software platform latest version
• Formal training in tooling design, development or practices
• Working knowledge of statistical analysis
