NRG is a Fortune 500 independent power producer looking for a full time, Senior Power Boiler Inspector to be based out of Western New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience primarily in the inspection and condition assessment of fossil fueled power boilers. Experience with steam turbine and ancillary equipment inspection is a plus. You will have certifications (or be certifiable) to AWS CWI, and ASNT Level II PT, MT, UTT. The ideal candidate will be a self starter who can work independently or in a team environment. You will have good analytical and problem solving skills. Your abilities to organize and interpret data into inspection reports and make recommendations based on the findings to plant staff and management is crucial. This position requires travel (primarily in the Northeast United States) that could be on short notice.
