Job Title: NDT Maintenance Technician

Department: Maintenance

Directly Reports To: NDT Maintenance Supervisor

Functionally Reports To: Maintenance Manager


Education and Experience:

A minimum of a high school diploma and 3 years of experience or training in appropriate area of responsibility. Certification as a Level II inspector per ASNT SNT-TC-1A in UT, ET, and/or RT. Shear Wave, Refracted Longitudinal Wave, and/or Phased Array experience a plus. Familiarity with MT, PT, VT, and Laser Measurement systems are preferable. Must have mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Some familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook) is needed.

Responsibilities:

To assist NDT Maintenance Supervisor in the general maintenance of all current and future NDT equipments, in the development of improved inspection techniques in each method of inspection used, in the research and development in new technology investigated for the continuous improvement of the inspection process. To work with Mill NDT, Service, and Assembly inspectors providing the needed support. To support NDT Maintenance Supervisor as needed and directed.


Additional Duties:

Achieve certification as Level II in UT and RT through onsite program. Be part of the Quality Improvement Program as a member of the NDT Maintenance team.
Skills:
-Minimum of 3 years on the job experience with UT, PT, and RT methods.
-Verifiable and stable work history
-Ability to work rotating shifts and long hours
-Previous exp. repairing, calibrating and testing NDT equipment
-Other duties may be included.
