PRIMARY FUNCTION
Lead NDT Technician on the slope internal job code 1190
This position reports to the Special Projects Coordinator and is responsible for tracking, scheduling and reporting progress, assisting NDE/DET crews and coordinating equipment required. The lead also supports the Special Projects Coordinator. This is a working position and the Lead will be responsible for mentoring of other team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Client interaction
Interface with the Client Integrity Specialists & Special Projects Coordinator about work scope, progress and challenges.
Participate in planning and update meetings as requested by Special Projects Coordinator.
Tasks
Auditing and reviewing incoming requests and layout data
Enter data into database/MIMIR as needed
Provide a single point of contact for field crews for technical, procedural and safety related issues
Review incoming reports and oversee data quality
Assist with management and repair of equipment
Support crews by coordinating equipment, supplies, scheduling, permitting issues, and interfacing with other contractors
Support Special Projects Coordinator
Administrative duties associated with working at a remote worksite.
Employee supervision
Address Employee concerns through the proper channels whether HR, Safety, or Quality issues.
Train and mentor technicians
Assist with verification and procedural audits
Find ways to make a difference
Typical Physical Tasks
Carry RT equipment weighing up to 70lbs in one hand and utilizing handrails with other hand to climb flights of stairs safely as per BP and Acuren policy.
Lifting of approx. 10 50 lbs with a rope using the hand over hand technique to lift equipment in a canvas bag up scaffold and ladders.
Carry and effectively manipulate a 12 foot step ladder and extension ladder.
Carry up to 70lbs while on normal and snowy or icy surfaces.
Occasionally lift 50lbs above shoulder level for placement on work surface.
Walk, climb on and maneuver on or around piping, supports and working in cramped conditions.
Work in both cold and hot climates.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Knowledge
Knowledge of Multiple NDE methods.
Familiarity with Code specifications.
Good data management skills.
Certified to at least level IIr in multiple methods
Current IRRSP/State card
Experience
Greater than 3 years in NDE industry
3+ years North Slope experience. Strong background in layout.
At least 1 year coordination &/or leadership experience
Specific Skills
Competent with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Good knowledge of reading prints
Strong leadership skills
Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills
Safety champion
Valid, unrestricted driving license
