UTLX Manufacturing is a recognized leader in the railcar manufacturing industry. We are seeking a NDT Level III/ Quality Engineer. This position will be located at our NE Houston, Texas manufacturing facility.
Skills:
Qualifications and Experience:
BS degree in NDE or engineering or equivalent work experience.
5-10 years experience in quality control/assurance in an industrial fabrication and/or assembly environment. Experience with tank cars, freight cars, or ASME pressure vessels, supplier quality, and NDT is preferred.
Qualified for Level III certification in Radiography (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Magnetic Particle Testing (MT). ASNT Level III certification in at least two of these methods.
This position includes development and implementation of the supplier quality program, QA and NDT procedures, provide defect tracking utilizing SPC techniques, monitor or perform calibration of test and measurement equipment, and conduct internal and external QA compliance audits.
