Acuren has an immediate position open for a certified API inspector.
Must have two API certs
Can have a mix of any of the three
(510,570,653)
This is a full time position and will support a major client in the Tampa, Florida area.internal job code 775.
Qualified candidates must hold API certifications for at least 3 years. As an API Inspector you will perform visual and nondestructive examination on stationary equipment in accordance with the API and ASME standards, provide client with technical recommendations for the repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment.
Responsibilities
* Work in conjunction with operations or site
supervisor in scheduling inspections.
* Supervise and/or perform API inspection on
projects.
* Assist in coordination of cross training of
existing API personnel.
* Provide input on findings in a timely manner.
* Ensure timeliness of all API reporting and
coordinate with Site Supervisor.
Requirements
*Education and Experience
* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Certified API for the past 3 years
* Experience in report writing
* Experience in AutoCAD a plus
* Technical background in NDT methods and
procedures. level II UT, MT ,PT
* Demonstrated ability to effectively perform
assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of
inspections.

Physical Demands
* Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying,
pushing, pulling, reaching, handling,
fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual
acuity, accommodation and color vision.
* Moving, carrying, lifting objects in excess of
30 lbs.
* Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs,
high reach, and scaffolding in excess of 100
ft.
* Working extended hours and standing for
extended periods of time.
* Work in indoor and out door environments in
conditions of extreme heat and cold.
* Work in and near industrial hazards.
