RAM Enterprise, Inc has an excellent opportunity for a Certified Welding Inspector at our Kingman, Arizona Facility. This is an exempt position.

This position reports directly to the Director of Operations and is responsible for the continued management of our QA/QC program which entails an established ASME/NBIC Code welding program.

Administration and continued development of our Quality Assurance and Quality Control Program are essential functions with a major emphasis on Structural and Pressure Vessel Welding. We currently hold our ASME “R” and “U” stamps and have an established Code welding program. Must have and maintain current working knowledge of ASME, AWS policies, procedures and expectations. Must possess good communication skills and be willing to travel out of town to job sites and work around running equipment ( overnight travel can be up to 65% of the time ). Must have knowledge of Power & Process piping ( ASME B31 ) as well as familiarity with ASME Section IX.

Participate in the process of job scope development as it pertains to welding functions and inspection points along with code package development, with the ability to read piping plans. This position also requires the interaction with the AI on a regular basis for code package review and sign off.

Maintain all continuity logs of welders, maintain the code welding material isolation area, facilitate all weld certification testing, work closely with outside inspection agencies, schedule Non-destructive examinations for PT, UT, RT. Perform dye pen testing as required.
Maintain in house ASME library and update as required.
Work with other areas of the business within the company to develop, and implement quality standards.

Skills:
Must have a minimum of 5 years of related experience in Quality or Welding Inspection.

College degree in related field a plus.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Must have a current CWI certification.

Must be able to climb stairs and work from heights and stand for extended periods of time outside in hot and cold weather.

Must have a valid driver's license.

Must be able to work out of town as required to meet the requirements of a project.
