We are hiring a Engineering Director with ammunition experience. Our company is a leading Global Munitions Supplier who has been in business for over 32 years. We are dedicated to quality, safety, integrity, honesty and teamwork. This person will be responsible for establishing the strategic goals and objectives for all aspects of the engineering function at DSE. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and procedures. Leads major projects, programs or processes with significant business impact involving cross-functional teams. This role relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Duties:
•Establishes engineering priorities and oversees all engineering projects.
•Reviews and approves standard operational and working practices.
•Takes the lead responsibility for significant engineering issues.
•Develops a plan to resolve issues, communicates the plan, and advises Senior Management on progress.
•Coaches and develops staff by providing an environment that encourages ongoing professional growth.
•Ensures staff receives appropriate training and skill development opportunities to be successful in his or her role.
•Develops and implements process controls which would include testing, validation, process studies, process control, and process inspections.
•Knowledge and associated ability to apply technical, scientific and mathematical knowledge to design and implement materials, structures, machines, devices, systems and processes that safely realize a desired objective.
•Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for designing, building and managing the manufacture of products.
•Knowledge of technologies and applications used in manufacturing products and in the optimization of manufacturing processes.
•Demonstrated results in project management, project prioritization, and process optimization.
•Ability to work effectively in an environment where tact, sensitivity, respect, tenacity, persuasive ability, and decisiveness are required for success.
•Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
•Ability to manage complex projects and resources (people, costs, time).
•Self-driven with a strong ability to motivate, delegate and multi-task assignments, with emphasis on establishing and enforcing high standards.
Skills:
Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineer or related technical discipline plus.
•A minimum of ten (10) years experience working as an Engineer is required.
•At least five (5) years of management experience managing highly complex engineering teams and projects.
•A minimum of five (5) years of manufacturing experience is required.
•Master's Degree in Engineering is preferred.
•DOD experienced is preferred.
•Or equivalent combination of experience and education that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions.

Work Environment:
•Work is performed in an office and manufacturing environment.
•Up to 40% travel in the continental U.S.
