Quality Manager – TS16949, six sigma, lean, machined components

A industry leader is continuing to increase market share and sales. They are achieving the strategic plan to increase and diversify their customer base. Our client has been hiring and expanding their US operation. This client offers affordable healthcare and has good benefits. We placed many successful associates with this client for over 15 years. There is room for career advancement. A previous Quality Manager is currently part of the executive management team, helping to drive growth.

We are searching for a Quality Manager to drive the quality management systems, product launches, continuous improvements and shop floor quality processes. Our client is looking for candidates with a proven track record of improving and maintaining a robust quality system that has been a major part of their growth. Knowledge of TS-16949, APQP requirement, AIAG formats and advanced problem solving skills is needed. The Quality Manager will also need good communication skills and will be the void of the customer internally. We are looking for a proactive thinking manager to continue to analysis data, FMEA to achieve the best possible quality early on in the process. Interested candidates will need a thirst for technology and drive technology upgrades. Interested candidates will need strong Gd&T skills and the ability to interrupt complex prints identifying critical features. The Quality Manager should be very process orientated, continuing to create process standards and train their associates in those standards. Knowledge of Six Sigma problem solving skills and advanced methodology is a must. Candidates with ASQ quality management or engineering certifications are preferred. Past experience working in a high precision machining environment is needed. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a engine component, drive train, transmission, fluid systems and/or precision machined automotive or heavy off road components. Strong leadership skills working with customer and internal associates at all levels is a must. The Quality Manager is a key member of the core management team. This is a corporation with a executive team who truly believes in quality. They understand how the cost of quality is offset by increased sales and customer satisfaction.

MUST HAVE: 5 years plus of managing a TS-16949 system, customer contact, six sigma problem solving skills and a proactive approach to quality candidates who are data driven and orientated should submit their resumes. Strong management skills with a proven track record of leading quality inspectors, engineers and lab technicians is needed. This is a very team orientated environment requiring good people skills.
