Position Summary

Acuren USA, Inc. is currently looking for hard working and dependable individuals for placement as NDT trainees to support our operations at a major client on Alaskan's North Slope. The NDT trainee will assist NDT Technicians in performing specific calibrations, specific Nondestructive Tests, and specific evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations. The NDT trainee will receive both on the job and class room training and development to further their career as an NDT Technician. The work is in the field; working around and on the pipelines.

Hours of work: 11.5 hours per day, 7 days per week on a rotational schedule ( 3x3). Pay is hourly, subject to straight time and overtime. Employees are responsible for travel costs to Anchorage or Fairbanks, AK.


Responsibilities
• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist NDT Technicians in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist NDT Technicians in conducting tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist Technicians in performing NDT procedures and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management


Education and Experience
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Technical background desired
• Entry level
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license

Physical Demands and Work Conditions
• Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling,
talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation and color vision
• Moving, carrying, lifting, objects in excess of 60 lbs
• Climbing and working off of ladders, stairs, manlifts, scaffolding in excess of 100 ft, and
potentially remote access technology (working from ropes at various heights)
• Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time
• Work in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold
• Work in and near industrial hazards.
