GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Vision-sight must be good enough to allow for precise and accurate review of film and castings by doing very up-close work, not color-blind, depth perception, hearing, hand-eye coordination, dexterity, reading, writing, some math aptitude. Physically capable of doing repetitive work.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:

• Member of the Material Review Board
• Answer quality issues and questions (referencing Specifications, Casting Prints)
• Resolve NDT issues (questionable acceptance rejection)
• Insure certifications are correct when Quality Manager is out
• QRB meetings as needed
• Update rough radiographic and penetrant
• Revise radiographic techniques and insure new exposure parameters is correct
• Explore usage of the digital X-ray unit and calibrate monthly
• Train NDT personnel and certify
• Maintain certifications of NDT personnel
• Revue film usage on current techniques for coverage or over coverage and give final approval
• Write work instructions for Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection when required by customer
• Check equipment for calibration requirements and send out for calibration when needed in FPI and X-ray.
• Attend process improvement meetings. (Inspection improvement, front frame, internal auditor)
• Insure the departments (FPI, X-ray Welding) conform to NADCAP and customer requirements

These job duties are not all inclusive. The company, from time to time, may require the incumbent to perform additional duties as assigned.
Skills:
TRAINING:
• Must have a minimum of 1200 hours of on the job training, in addition to the 400 hours for a Level I
• Completion of 40 hours formal training, in addition to the 40 hours for a Level I

CERTIFICATION:
• Must pass a general, specific and practical examination
• Must pass a yearly eye exam demonstrating no color discrimination and acceptable visual acuity
