Currently seeking Certified NDT Technicians for immediate opportunities at a worldwide manufacturer of cast parts serving the Aerospace, Medical and Power Generation industries. These are direct placement and contract-to-hire opportunities for qualified technicians, with relocation offered to the Portland, OR area. Our client is a Fortune 500 company with excellent benefits package, including 401k, profit sharing, cash quarterly bonuses, education reimbursements, etc.

Qualified candidates are Certified NDT Technicians in Radiographic Testing. Level I and II technicians considered. Compensation will be based on experience, and can range from $18.00-$23.00 p/hr. to start.

Radiographer (Level 1+) – Film Interpreters (Level 2+)
- Effectively and accurately operate x-ray machines to produce radiographs ensuring parts are within customer specifications. Operates x-ray machine control panels and equipment to take multiple views of castings, adjusting radiographic variables such as tube height, voltage and exposure times within customer specifications. Candidates possessing digital film interpretation experience will be given preference

-Aerospace experience preferred
-Inspections on castings
-Familiar with performing inspections are large parts
-Level II Certification in RT (1600 documented OTJ hours)
-Visually evaluate radiographs to identify density changes or welding irregularities in metal casted parts.
-Review weld maps to ensure all welds have been radiographed
-Interpret and identify surface and subsurface irregularities
-Perform mathematical calculations from detailed drawings and blueprints to determine manufacturing acceptability of part
-Effectively communicate verbally and writing the repairs that need to be made to part
-Assist production and engineering to determine cause of irregularities
