We are currently seeking candidates for open Nondestructive Testing Technician for our St. Louis site. Ideal candidates will be responsible for the following:

Basic Function: This position will Perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) to verify the structural integrity of composite laminate, complex structures, welds and machined parts using various NDT methods with conventional and automated equipment.

Background:

• Perform NDT on aircraft parts and interpreter the test results in accordance with test procedures and process specifications.
• Document test results and interface with various production computer systems.
• Operate ultrasonic equipment; such as: a-scan & resonance scopes, phased array equipment and automated scanning systems.
• Operate x-ray equipment; such as: robotic scanners and computed radiography data acquisition systems.
• Other test equipment may include: eddy current scopes and helium mass spectrometers.
• Interface with engineers and manufacturing personnel to improve processes and provide test results, as needed.
Skills:
Education: This position requires an Associate Degree of applied science in NDT, or closely related curriculum. The classroom training for the applicable test method and level of certification needed must meet the minimum required for a level 2, per NAS-410. Classroom training for eddy current and high vacuum leak detection, per NAS-410, Level 2, is also desired.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Technician must meet the qualifications required for a NDT Level 2 in the applicable method, per NAS-410.
• Technician must have knowledge of conventional and automated testing systems and understand NDT theory and computer systems.
• Other skills include written and verbal communications skills, and must be able to work independently and work effectively as a team member.
• Technician should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the applicable NDT method(s) and manufacturing processes.
