We are currently seeking candidates for open Nondestructive Testing Technician for our St. Louis site. Ideal candidates will be responsible for the following:

Basic Function: This position will perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) to verify the structural integrity of composite laminate, complex structures, welds and machined parts using various NDT methods with conventional and automated equipment. The NDT Tech IV is a subject matter expert in a particular process or test method. This particular posting is for an individual who will perform the liquid penetrant Level 3 functions, per NAS-410 and perform Level 2 ultrasonic and radiographic testing on Composite structures.

Background:

• Perform NDT on aircraft parts and evaluate test results by analyzing and interpreting the data in accordance with customer requirements.
• Review and implement Engineering Drawings, Process Specifications and other customer requirements.
• Develop and maintain processes, test methodology and procedures.
• Understand manufacturing methods and part construction, as it relates to the NDT data.
• Identify and investigate new technologies, processes and/or procedures to maintain or improve NDT capabilities, efficiencies, etc…
• Interface with engineers, internal & external customers, manufacturing personnel and management to improve processes.
• Provide guidance, leadership and instruction to other NDT technicians.
Skills:
Education: This position requires an Associate Degree of applied science in NDT, or closely related curriculum. The classroom training for the applicable test method and level of certification needed must meet the minimum required per NAS-410.
Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have held a previous liquid penetrant level 3 certification, or a minimum of 4 years experience as a certified liquid penetrant Level 2, per NAS-410.
• Strong knowledge in NDT theory, technology, computer systems and/or electo-mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of conventional and automated testing systems, written and verbal communications skills, and must be able to work independently and work effectively as a team member.
