Zetec, Inc. is seeking candidates for the full-time role of Product Manager (Probes). This position is responsible for product marketing strategy, documenting customer requirements, analyzing the competitive landscape and managing the probe product portfolio.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:
Product marketing responsibilities
•Conduct market research and competitive analysis
•Perform technology assessments to position and gauge trends in the market
•Gather problem statements that define client and market (industry) challenges
•Meet with internal and external customers to better understand end-user needs
•Work with cross-functional teams to develop product specifications and requirements
•Conduct market sizing and win/ loss analysis to understand opportunities and approach
•Measure product performance by aligning the depth of technology with impact to clients
•Determine pricing/margins and prepare business cases
•Manage product life cycle
•Determine optimal buy, build, or partner status
•Act as Owner of assigned product portfolio
•Erect and communicate product positioning aligning with market requirements
•Publish product roadmap and coordinate release schedules with Engineering/R&D
•Construct a sales process related to a product launch
•Prepare launch plans and support on-going marketing plans
•Develop use cases that define client personas and use scenarios
•Drive new product development process by defining market/customer improvements
•Drive product life cycle decisions, working closely with Engineering/R&D and the sales team
Sales Readiness – supporting Sales and outbound Marketing
•Prepare and conduct channel leadership training
•Define collateral requirements and sales tools in support of product line goals
•Gather competitor comparisons and white papers for outbound marketing
•Prepare presentations and demos; provide major event support
•Define product support requirements
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
•Stay current with industry related codes, customer agreements and Zetec Quality Assurance manuals.
•Follow all company safety policies and Quality Assurance requirements.
•Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
•Extended hours may be required to fulfill the requirements of this position
The individual in this role must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter including US Citizenship being subject to a Federal background investigation.
Knowledge & Skills
•Working knowledge of marketing principles and the product development process.
•Ability to work independently, prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to operate and lead cross-functional teams.
•Ability to document product specifications, product requirements and product roadmaps.
•Effective written and verbal communication skills with professional demeanor.
•Ability to create effective written presentations and experience with public speaking required.
•Ability to interact with high-level contacts, both internal and external to the company.
•Strong computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Education Minimum Requirements/Equivalent
•Bachelor’s Degree in a related Science/Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience.
•MBA or other business education or training preferred.
•Five or more years experience in product marketing, product management, or technical sales.
•Three plus years technical experience in instrumentation, complex electro-mechanical hardware, and/or complex software products.
•NDE experience preferred
