Value Stream Manager – aerospace, cnc machining, planning, leadership, promotable
Major US corporation is searching for promotable leaders. Great opportunity for candidates with a thirst for continuing career advancement. Our client is growing due to increased market share in the aerospace industry. We are searching for technical leaders with experience in supervision, production management and/or operations. This division achieved 5 years of continuous growth and is expanding and hiring. They are investing in new technology and state of the art multi-axis CNC machine tools. This is a company that truly believes in employee development and promotion internally. Due to the growth many of the valued associates have advanced in their careers. Our client offers a relocation package covering moving of belongings, temporary hosing, house hunting trips, realtor fees, closing cost and more. We are searching for candidates with a Bachelors degree, leadership, machining process experience, production planning, and strong communication skills. The Value Stream Manger will lead a multi shift machining operation. Strong production planning developing the most efficient method to schedule labor, materials and machinery. Interested candidates will need experience working in a highly regulated quality environment in the aerospace, medial, nuclear or military supplier industries. The value Stream Manger coordinates production throughout departments, manages workflow, directs all manufacturing operations, develops manpower requirements, sets priorities and resolves production issues to ensure cost, quality and throughput. The Value Stream Manger will mange new product launches and lean manufacturing activities. The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years of supervision, production and/or operations management along with a technical CNC machining background. Candidates with a 4 year engineering or technical degree is preferred. Process knowledge of cnc milling, cnc lathes, swiss cnc lathes and /or grinding is a huge plus. Interested candidates who have been a supervisor, area manager, production manager, value stream manger, lean manufacturing manager, machining manger, operations manager or plant manager of a smaller (ie: 100 employee) manufacturing environment should apply.
MUST HAVE: a 4 year Bachelors degree and minimum of 5 years of experience planning production, scheduling manpower / machinery, optimizing throughput, leading, guiding, directing and coordinating production departments. Some knowledge of multi axis CNC machine tool processes is needed. A 4 year technical degree or past experience working as a engineer is preferred. Interested candidates must be promotable.
