In compliance with the company’s strategy and industry needs we are looking for a senior Sales Director & Business Development Manager with proven and outstanding experience in technical sales of Non-Destructive Testing solutions. The candidate should combine both NDT technical knowledge business development and sales management skills to provide advice and support to end users on a range of NDT products. In parallel, the candidate should be able to structure and guide a dedicated sales team.

Our clients portfolio groups oil & gas companies, onshore & offshore industrial facilities, power plants, refineries, petrochemical industries, steel manufacturing plants, pressure equipment manufacturers, civil constructions. The candidate must have at least 8 years proven experience in NDT business development / sales in several of these industries.

Key words like Advanced NDT, ToFD, Phased Array, Digital radiography, Corrosion under insulations, Boilers, Offshore platform, Weldinspection, etc. should belong to the standard vocabulary of the applying candidate.

The successful candidate will be the key point of contact for clients and will be responsible for providing both pre- and after-sales advice on NDT. She/He will liaise regularly with other members of the sales team and colleagues from the worldwide TÜV Rheinland organization as well as senior company managers.

The desired candidate should have a technical bachelor degree for this position.

Primary duties:

•leading and directing the sales team will be part of the daily duties. This includes the review of sales efficiency as well as business development progress;

•monitor, allocate and track leads in the CRM system;

•identification of key accounts (clients & industries) who might benefit from TUV Rheinland’s NDT services and maximizing client potential in NDT inspections;

•developing long-term relationships with clients through managing and interpreting their NDT technical requirements;
•persuading clients (and prove) that a NDT product or service best satisfies their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery;

•negotiating tenders and contract terms and conditions to meet both client and company needs;

•joint preparation & calculating client quotations together with the technical divisions and administering client accounts;

•providing NDT pre-sales technical assistance and product education, and after-sales support services;
•analyzing costs and sales;

•preparing reports for head office;

•responsible for achieving the pre-defined sales targets and coordinating sales projects;

•supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events;

•making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product meets client needs;

•directing all members of the sales team;

•helping R&D team in the design and modification of custom-made products;

•providing sales training and producing support material for the members of the sales team.
