Aerospace NDT Technician

We are currently seeking an Aerospace NDT Technician, preferably with military experience for a position in our Marietta, Georgia headquarters.

- The Aerospace NDT Tech will train on 5 methods of NDT including Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, and Eddy Current Testing.

-The goal will be to achieve level II certification in each of the 5 methods, RT, UT, MT, PT and ET.

-The technician will perform inspections with the 5 methods of NDT in ATS’s lab, or at customer’s sites.

-Inspections performed will mainly be aerospace related but will also be performed in other industries.

-Inspections might require work in a lab setting, at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors or in an industrial setting.

-Inspections may require overnight travel, work at odd hours, overtime, or a varying schedule.

-The technician will be required to consult with customers over work to be performed as well as the results of inspections.

-The technician will be a knowledgeable and professional representative of ATS, able to effectively deal with personnel of varying levels and backgrounds on technical and interpersonal levels.
Skills:
Minimum Requirements:

-Ideal candidates will have prior aircraft or aerospace NDI (NDE, NDT) experience in the military including Air Force, Marines, Navy, Army, Air National Guard or reserves.

-Candidates with at least the following number of experience/training hours in several of the 5 disciplines of NDI are preferred: RT 1200 hrs, UT 1200 hrs, ET 1200 hrs, MT 400 hrs, PT 270 hrs.

-However candidates with fewer or no hours in some disciplines hours may be considered.

-Candidates must be willing and very able to work at heights, in confined spaces, outdoors, and at lab, manufacturing and industrial sites.

-Candidates must be willing and able to travel, work odd hours, work over time, work varying hours and a varying schedule.

-Candidates will have good communication skills and will be computer literate.

-Candidates will be drug-free and have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
