NDT Technician, Materials Testing

We are currently seeking an NDT technician with Level II certifications in radiography, liquid penetrant and visual inspection for our Materials Testing Department located in our Marietta, GA office (Corporate Headquarters).

The technician will:

· Perform RT, PT and VT in the lab with minimal travel

· Set up and utilize the required test equipment

· Complete reports and documentation as required

· Be trained to perform mechanical tests (tensile, charpy, bend, etc.)

· Be trained to perform weld sample preparations

· Work with engineers, chemists and technicians
Skills:
Minimum Requirements:

· Minimum high school diploma or equivalent

· Certified or certifiable to Level II RT, PT and VT

· Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to American Welding Society

· Certified or certifiable to Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 97/23/EC annex I 3.1.3 preferred but not required.

· Other NDT certifications such as MT, UT are preferred but not required

· Ability to work with a team

· Candidate must be willing and able to work odd hours, work overtime and work varying hours

· Candidate must have good communication skills and be computer literate

· Candidate must have a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
