Screw Machine Set Up Machinist – set up, repair, troubleshoot, multiple spindle

A major international corporation is continuing to grow. They offer a great opportunity for highly skilled screw machine set up machinists and/or maintenance technician. We are searching for candidates who can set up, repair, train others, debug, troubleshoot and keep screw machines up and running. This is a senior level position that reports to the engineering department. This position works as a technician to prove out processes, debug, optimize, repair, set up and move equipment. Candidates with past experience replacing bearings, spindles, clutches, attachments and common ware parts is preferred. Our client has a wide variety of different brands/models of screw machines. Some have CNC cross slides and end slides. Candidates with CNC or CNC programming experience are preferred but not required. Our client will provide training how to program the slides of modern CNC controlled screw machines. They have a mix of cam and CNC driven multi-spindle automatic screw machines. Interested candidates will need experience on one of the following six spindled screw machines: Acme, New Britain, Tornos, Tornos Deco, Index, Schutte, Euroturn, Gildemeister and/or other brands of multi spindle screw machines. Knowledge of cams, gears, collets, tool holders, cutting tools, screw machine attachments and automatic bar loaders is a must. Good communication skills, the ability to work with groups throughout the plant and interact with engineering is a plus. Our client will provide heavy training on the various models of older and brand new models of CNC controls / cam less screw machines.

MUST HAVE: a minimum of 10 years of experience setting up, debugging and repairing multiple spindle screw machines. Candidates who have worked on CNC controls, no cam CNC slides are preferred, but not required.
