Position Summary:
This position has overall responsibility for conformance to the Quality Control Program to include the coordination, scheduling, training, auditing, and reporting on the GKA and WNS Business Units and others as required. This position requires certification and/or knowledge in all pertinent Nondestructive test methods and an understanding of Quality Control, Auditing and Safety issues related to the daily operation of the field.
Essential job responsibilities/functions to include, but not limited to:
1. Demonstrate and ensure an overall commitment to Quality by Kakivik Asset Management personnel.
2. Develop Kakivik written goals and plans for the QA Program at GKA and WNS or other business units as required, focusing on continuous improvement.
3. Develop, perform, report, and maintain the internal audit system
a. Safety
b. Inspection
c. General
d. Specific
e. Proficiency
4. The control and retention of documents generated by the QA Position.
5. Provide quarterly report on audit findings.
6. Provide monthly QA Progress Report.
7. Provide end of year review report on QA accomplishments.
8. Provide monthly equipment status report.
9. Provide training and instruction to workforce as requested
a. Quality
b. Nondestructive testing
c. Proctor tests to employee’s as requested
10. Develop and/or review inspection guidelines, procedures, and techniques as requested.
11. Provide onsite Technical support for both the GKA and WNS Business Units (or others) as requested.

c. Equipment review
12. Distribution of new procedures and guidelines to appropriate personnel and work stations.
13. Coordinate position work hours to cover both crews (split shift) and both shifts (1st and 2nd).
14. Coordinate travel between Kuparuk and Alpine (and other locations as required) for this position.
15. Post Crew Certification lists monthly as updated by Kakivik Office.
16. Administer onsite personnel eye examinations.
17. Review Kakivik Inspection Procedure/Revision lists posted on Sharepoint monthly.
18. Participate in BEAR Safety Process.
19. Assist in TapRooT investigations as requested.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or GED required.
2. The individual in this position must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
3. Must be computer literate and proficient with Windows based programs with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
4. Ability to read and interpret data.
5. Valid driver’s license required.
6. Current ASNT Radiographic Level III certification required
7. Ability to provide training in a group environment.
8. API 570, Ultrasonic, Magnetic Particle, and Liquid Penetrant certifications preferred.
9. Ability to proctor exams.
10. Must have excellent oral and written communications skills, excellent interpersonal skills.

Working Conditions:
Work involves near continuous use of computer terminal and may require sitting for extended periods. Some overtime may be required. Some outside work in arctic conditions will be required.

Physical Restrictions:
May require light physical effort such as stooping, bending, reaching and occasional lifting of lightweight objects (up to 25 pounds).
