A well established, growing, long time company is searching for a Quality Manager. This manager will be part of their core management team, setting the direction of the company. Our client is very diverse serving the commercial, automotive, aerospace, heavy off road and many other industries. Their market share continues to increase as they invest in new capital equipment and hire. This corporation has many 20-25 year team members who enjoy stability and good benefits. We are searching for a Quality Manager to lead the quality management system, continuous improvements and team members. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving the QMS. Knowledge of ISO-9000, TS-16949 or AS-9100 requirements, internal, surveillance audits, systems and quality processes is needed.

The Quality Manager is responsible for systems, procedures, document control, corrective actions, problem solving, training, gauge calibration, metrology statistical controls, MRB, continuous improvements, material certifications, planning and part of the product launch team. Experience leading cross functional teams, knowledge of Gd&T, blue print reading, contract review and customer requirements is needed. The Quality Manager will lead and manage quality engineers, inspectors, lab technicians, suppliers and vendors. Strong quality planning, communication, documentation and knowledge of customer requirements is needed. The ideal candidate will have a basic process knowledge of metal forming, cold heading, forging, hot forming and/or machining. Strong problem solving skills using advanced problem solving methodology, six sigma tools, CAPA, 5why and 8-D formats is needed. Past experience implementing lean and continuous improvements is needed.


MUST HAVE: a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager, good leadership quality planning and continuous improvement. Knowledge of ISO-9000 or TS-16949 and/or AS-9100 systems. Strong problem solving skills, the ability to interact with shop floor associates, management and customers. Basic process knowledge of some of the following processes is preferred: cold heading, cold forming, hot forming, forging, extrusion, metal forming and/or machining.
