The Quality Manager/RSO works with all levels of the organization to ensure the delivery of world class quality services to the region’s clients. This position will work closely with the Regional/Corporate Radiation Safety and Quality Managers as well as the Division Manager and Operations Manager to ensure that corporate goals and objectives for the Quality and Radiation programs are met.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Governance
Execute the responsibilities of QA/RSO according to lawful and ethical standards. Uphold, safeguard, and promote Acuren’s values and philosophy relating particularly to ethics, integrity, safety, quality, and corporate responsibility.


Reliability

Safety/Radiation Safety: Adhere to and encourage a culture that embraces safety, recognizes hazards, and takes action to minimize risk.

Provide resources to ensure we use quality and appropriate safety equipment, carry out safety training where required, and to conduct safety audits on a regular basis.

Quality:

Focuses to ensure clients are provided with quality services in a timely manner. Worker training, use of procedures, project supervision and peer review are all areas that require management focus in Acuren’s business. Ensure that staff assigned to each project exhibit adequate training and experience and that we have complete and accurate certification documents on file to support the required certification.

Efficiency:

Responsible for the maintenance and calibration of equipment. Ensures compliance with Radiation Safety and Quality Programs. Audit on-the-job radiation safety and quality performance. Ensure compliance and corrective actions when required are implemented. Review of documentation and other deliverables produced in the field by technicians. Maintains metrics of field inspections and prepares monthly reports. Ensures clients' needs are met in a timely and cost effective manner.

Ensures implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System, audits the quality of the delivery of services. Ensures compliance with Radiation Safety and Environmental Programs. Ensure compliance has been achieved and maintained at the respective Acuren facility relative to DOT and IATA regulations. Monitor radiographic operations and the use of all procedures in the specified area of responsibility through audits, inspections and other oversight techniques. Document specific results and provide information to applicable managers. Note and respond to trends identified as a result of this process. Confirm corrective actions have been completed within established time-lines. Provides training and guidance in the delivery of quality services in the local office. Identifies and supports the development of corrective actions for identified deficiencies and provides direction for disposition.

• Add to regional morale by building teamwork, professionalism and continuous improvement projects to enhance the region and the company.
• Ensure programs are in place for the competency testing of technicians.
• Develop supplementary training programs as required.
• Perform any other duties assigned by their manager.

Requirements

• Associated degree or equivalency of with 5 to 10 years of diversified safety/quality and management experience.
• Excellent communication skills with management, co-workers, technicians and client management.
• Good to excellent proficiency with computers, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, web applications.
• Highly organized and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing, growing environment.
