Engineering Technician I
JOB DESCRIPTION: The Engineering Technician MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH WELL FILES. This position is responsible for supporting engineers in preparing well workover and drilling/completion programs and maintaining related documentation. The ability to independently perform these duties, with limited review by engineers, identifies this position as a key member of the MOC development team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supporting engineers in preparing well drilling, workover and completion programs and maintaining related documentation.
Involves proofreading/editing daily reports from rig supervisors in conjunction to updating and maintaining electronic/physical well files, including electronic wellbore diagrams.
Other needs include preparing, tracking and filing necessary permitting and regulatory paperwork with federal (BLM) and state (DOGGR) agencies to facilitate both drilling and workover/completion operations.
Skills:
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
High school diploma/GED required
2 to 3 years work related experience with WELL FILES required as a minimum
Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.).
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple requests from multiple staff members.
Ability to work with imperfect data.
Must be a team player with the ability to work on multiple assignments, in a team environment, with minimal supervision.
Must be self-motivated, versatile and willing to learn.

HOURS: Mon-Fri 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with occasional weekends or late evenings
PAY RATE: $24 to $28.85/hr. Depends On Experience
