We are currently searching for a Sales Engineer-Technical Sales for our Webster, Texas office. Sales Engineer-Technical Sales are accountable for sales of services in specified regions of the country. They must understand each service line sufficiently to verbally present information to clients in a credible and expert fashion while expressing values of the service. Must be able to formally quote each service offering and develop, seek and report marketing intelligence data as directed in their specified Region or needed to obtain targeted sales.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Conduct technical presentations within small and large groups, understand market drivers
Develop deep client relationships with individual accounts and in sales region
Have existing client relationships and experience in the process and pipeline market sectors
Generate technical quotations in compliance with client requirements
Gather technical data from clients in a timely fashion
Participate in training, both internally and externally
Adequately report requested information
Maintain Customer Resource Management (CRM) system
Enlist team support for success as appropriate
Meet objectives within set time frames and manage conformance to budget
Support budgeting and predicting processes
Participate in internal and customer meetings as required
Prepare proposals for issuance to the client along with provision of project time lines, internal and external project costs and preparation of cost for the client
Travel to locations in a timely fashion to achieve targeted success
Routinely update training and field experience logs to ensure Training Dept. records are kept current.
Assist Field Service Technicians at least once a year (per service line) at client sites to obtain and maintain practical field exposure.

Skills:
Engineering or other Technical Bachelor Degree required. 5 + years of industry and/or related experience
Good knowledge of refinery and Syngas and Pipeline industry
Familiar with inspection techniques and plant/pipeline maintenance
Ability to understand customer requirements and provide service packages, offering a full solution
Have a thorough understanding of the balance between deadlines and accuracy of work
Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multi-task, possess the willingness to learn and train, to be dependable and consistent with efforts
Must possess a flexible and adaptive approach to working and time management
Takes direction and readily takes on team roles
Must be self driven, highly motivated, conduct themselves with diplomacy and have the ability to maintain confidentiality
Must be willing to travel approximately 50% of the time
Will need to adequately handle the pressure of making presentations and delivering information to highly trained personnel and possess the ability to close a negotiation leading to an order
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Normal for office environment. Travel requirements approximately 50%.
